Berryman joins the Spartans after holding a variety of assistant track and field coaching positions in 2014. She worked at Clackamas Community College and Lakeridge High School in Lake Oswego, Ore., and spent the summer with the Yap Islands national team in the Western Pacific preparing for the 2014 Micronesian Games. Yap Island’s five medals (two gold, two silver and one bronze) in track and field was the island’s best performance in the history of the Games dating back to 1969.
The 2012 Idaho State University graduate majored in physical education with an emphasis in sports management. She earned a M.B.A from her alma mater in 2013.
As a college athlete, she was a pole vaulter and a multi-event competing for the University of Arizona and Idaho State. Berryman earned all-conference honors finishing third in the heptathlon at the 2013 Big Sky Outdoor Track & Field Championships. She was named to the Big Sky Conference’s All-Academic team five times (three outdoor, two indoor) during her college career.
Berryman is certified as a USATF (USA Track & Field) Level 1 coach and in First Aid/CPR by the American Red Cross.
