Adam Noel joined the San José State University athletics staff as a graduate assistant in athletic performance in June 2013. He works with the women[apos]s tennis and women[apos]s water polo teams.
Noel came to the Spartans after serving as an athletic performance intern at UCLA.
The 2012 graduate of California State University, Fullerton majored in kinesiology. He was a member of the 2011 and 2012 Titans[apos] men[apos]s lacrosse teams.
Noel began his career in athletic performance in 2011 with Velocity Sports Performance in Costa Mesa, Calif. He worked with athletes at all skill levels specializing in dynamic warmups, movement and weight training.
He is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and by USA Weightlifting as a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach. Noel holds certifications from the American Red Cross in CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and first aid.
The native of Joplin, Mo., is pursuing a master[apos]s degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in sport studies.
