Beca Perez returns to San José State athletics for the 2024 season. She comes from Stanford (2023), where she worked for a year as the Assistant Director of Recruiting for Stanford football.
Perez spent the 2022 season at Army as the Director of Recruiting for Black Knights football. She worked in tandem with the Director of Player Personnel and On-Campus Coordinator on all recruiting efforts and led the recruiting staff’s weekly communication efforts to all prospective student-athletes.
Her football background in the NCAA began not far away in 2018 when she started at San José State as a student assistant for defense before spending over a year as a recruiting assistant for the Spartans. Her efforts on the Spartans staff helped propel SJSU to an unbeaten 7-0 season in 2020 and an appearance in the Arizona Bowl. The Spartans were ranked as high as No. 22 in the country that season.
In 2021, Perez was the recipient of the Women's Sports Foundation Scott Pioli & Family Fund for Women Football Coaches and Scouts. This is given annually to female football coaches and scouts to defy the gender gap and support their development, education, and training.
Perez resides in Sunnyvale and is a 2020 graduate of San José State, with a degree in Communications.
