Bryan Goodman brings over two decades of success in collegiate athletics to his role as Associate Athletic Director for Development at San José State University. A seasoned leader in both athletic administration and coaching, Goodman has built a reputation for advancing fundraising, alumni engagement, and student-athlete success at the Division I level.
Before joining San José State, Goodman led critical development efforts at Binghamton University, where he played a role in the launch and growth of a $270 million capital campaign. Under his leadership, the department achieved 100% giving from full-time athletics staff for the first time in school history-reaching that mark every year since. He also successfully launched and scaled the university's first Athletics Day of Giving, producing record-breaking fundraising results.
In addition to his development work, Goodman boasts an extensive basketball coaching career. He served as Associate Head Coach at Binghamton, CSU Bakersfield, and Bucknell, as well as Director of Operations and Assistant Coach at the University of Oklahoma. His career highlights include helping Oklahoma reach the NCAA Elite Eight in 2009, contributing to Bucknell's historic NCAA Tournament upset over Kansas in 2005, a gold medal as part of Team USA in the 2005 World University Games in Izmir, Turkey, and playing a key role in CSU Bakersfield's first Division I winning season and postseason appearance.
Throughout his career, Goodman has been known for building meaningful donor relationships, organizing impactful alumni events, and fostering cultures of excellence and accountability on the court and in the community. He holds a master's degree from DePaul University and a bachelor's from Barat College, where he was a four-year point guard, team captain, and Academic All-American.
