Corey Raymond joined SJSU as the new Associate Athletics Director for Marketing, Digital Media, and Licensing in August of 2025. Raymond, a nationally recognized leader in fan engagement and revenue generation, joins the Spartans after a highly successful tenure at Wake Forest University.
In his most recent role as Associate Athletic Director for Fan Experience & Revenue Generation at Wake Forest (2023–2025), Raymond served on the athletic department’s senior staff, overseeing Fan Experience and Sales. Under his leadership, Wake Forest achieved the highest football season-ticket revenue in program history ($4.1 million) and set all-time highs for single-game, package, and group ticket sales. He also led the program to a record men’s basketball single-game attendance of 14,744 — the first sellout since 2016.
Before his time at Wake Forest, Raymond served as Director of Marketing Strategy & Fan Experience at the University of Maryland (2022–2023), where he doubled new football season-ticket sales year-over-year and drove the first increase in total season tickets sold since 2014. His earlier roles include Director of Marketing & Fan Experience at Washington State University, Marketing & Fan Engagement Coordinator at Syracuse University — where he helped set an NCAA single-game men’s basketball on-campus attendance record of 35,642 — and marketing roles at Wake Forest and Canisius University.
At San José State, Raymond will lead the strategic vision and execution of marketing, digital media, and licensing initiatives for all 22 Spartan sports. His focus will be on enhancing the game day experience, expanding the Spartan brand, and driving revenue growth through innovative fan engagement and corporate partnership activations.
