Greg Duarte joined the women's basketball staff in July of 2021 as the program's Director of Special Projects.
A staple in the Bay Area basketball community, Duarte has accumulated 18 years of coaching experience in the South Bay. With the majority of his on-court work coming at the high school level, Duarte has won five BVAL League titles as a head coach in addition to 12 Central Coast Section Playoff appearances.
Most recently, Duarte served as an assistant coach with the Notre Dame de Namur men's basketball team for one season.
Born and raised in San Jose, Duarte graduated from James Lick High School. The Duarte family connections to SJSU are plentiful as his wife, one daughter and 10 nieces and nephews all graduated from the university.
Duarte resides in the South Bay with his wife, Sherry. Sherry and Greg have two amazing daughters and four grandchildren.
