Jack Kennedy begins his first season as a member of the San Jose State men[apos]s basketball coaching staff.
Kennedy comes to San Jose State after spending five seasons with the University of San Francisco men[apos]s basketball program. He was promoted to assistant coach in 2012-13 after spending two years as the Director of Basketball Operations and two years as a graduate assistant. Kennedy was responsible for coaching guards and recruiting last year after spending two seasons in charge of the team[apos]s daily operations including team travel, fundraising and recruiting visits. Kennedy earned his master[apos]s degree in sports management in 2010.
Kennedy graduated from Grinnell College (Iowa) in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and earned letters in basketball and golf. Kennedy played four seasons under legendary head coach David Arseneault who has one of the premier offenses in college basketball. Kennedy[apos]s sophomore season (2003-04), the Pioneers led the nation in scoring with a then-NCAA record 126.2 points per game.
Following his collegiate career, Kennedy began the coaching journey at St. Gregory College Prep in Tucson where he coached both middle school and high school basketball. Kennedy also served as a clinician at the Steve Kerr Basketball Camps.
