Jeff Pritsker, a veteran of collegiate athletics with more than 20 years of experience, was promoted to associate athletics director for finance at San José State in January 2020. He was previously the Spartans' assistant athletics director for business and administration from 2018-19.
He came to the Spartans after three years as the associate athletics director for business at Sacramento State. Pritsker was the sports supervisor for women’s soccer, gymnastics, men’s golf and men’s tennis and supervised the athletics business office and equipment staffs.
His experiences also include stops as an athletics administrator focusing on business operations at Portland State (2011-15), Northern Arizona (2009-10), Purdue (2010-11), UCF, (2004-07), Marquette (1999-2000), and South Dakota State (1998-99).
At Portland State, he became the associate athletics director for business. Along with his business office responsibilities, Pritsker also was the sports supervisor for softball and was the administrator in charge for the Pacific Coast Softball Conference Tournament and the Big Sky Volleyball Tournament.
He was the assistant athletics director for business at Northern Arizona (2009-10). In his final year, he named interim associate athletics director for internal operations.
The 1988 graduate of Purdue University majored in organizational leadership and supervision. He earned a M.B.A. with an emphasis in decision sciences from Miami (Ohio) University in 1991.
While pursuing a doctorate degree, Pritsker was a Florida State University graduate assistant. He taught issues in sport management, sport law, sport governance and history of sport and worked in the Florida State athletics business office.
His first full-time position in college athletics was in 1998 as the athletics business manager at South Dakota State. He had the same position a year later at Marquette.
Pritsker is a member of the College Athletic Business Managers Association (CABMA) and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).
