Larissa Leck was named the Director of Graphic Design and Digital Media at San Jose State Athletics in March 2021. In the role, Leck is responsible for overseeing all San Jose State Athletic branding, visual identity, oversees social media accounts, creates visual aspects for the Spartan Brand and supervises the creation of all graphics.
Prior to San Jose State, Leck was the Assistant Director of Creative Services at Purdue University from 2018-2021. In 2018, she was brought on as a graphic designer and in 2019 she was promoted to the title of Assistant Director of Creative Services.
Before joining the Boilermakers, Leck worked at Bowling Green from 2017-2018 as their Graphic Designer, Social Media Coordinator, and also served as a sports information director for men's golf.
Leck graduated from Bowling Green in 2018 with a Bachelor's in Science and Technology, majoring in Visual Communications Technology. She then received her Master's in Health and Kinesiology - Recreation and Sports Administration in 2020. She wrote her thesis on women in sports concentrating on professional advancement for women in intercollegiate athletics and administration.
A native of Bowling Green, Ohio, Leck currently resides in San Jose. During her time at Bowling Green she studied film photography while studying abroad in Florence, Italy. Leck is a proud dog mom of a rescue German Shepard-Collie mix named Ivy.
