Former San Jose State women[apos]s gymnast Liz Major is in her third season in 2014 as an assistant coach for the women[apos]s gymnastics program.
Major graduated from San Jose State in 2007 with a degree in psychology. She competed for the Spartans from 2004-07 and specialized on bars her senior season. Major was a four-time San Jose State Scholar-Athlete and an Academic All-Western Athletic Conference honoree.
After graduation, Major returned to her home state of Colorado where she received a master[apos]s degree in sport and performance psychology from the University of Denver in 2010. She was a club coach at Aurora School of Gymnastics where she worked with preschoolers through optionals and helped with choreography.
