Mandi Carver, most recently an assistant coach at Cal State Bakersfield, is in her third season as an assistant coach for the Spartans women[apos]s basketball program.

Carver assists in all aspects of the program and specializes in working with the Spartan post players.
A standout post player at Idaho State University, Carver was a three-time first team All-Big Sky performer and three-time all-academic selection. She was the first Idaho State player to score more than 1,000 points and grab more than 1,000 rebounds in a career and is one of only four women[apos]s basketball players from the three Division I universities in the state of Idaho with those credentials.
As the 2001 Big Sky Conference Most Valuable Player and conference tournament MVP, Carver led Idaho State to its first 20-plus win season in school history, regular season and conference tournament championships, and first NCAA Tournament appearance. The following season as a senior, she was the NCAA Division I rebounding leader with a 13.6 average. Carver still ranks as Idaho State[apos]s all-time leader in blocked shots (180), double-doubles (52), second in rebounds (1,098) and field goals made (583), and third in scoring (1,538) and free throws made (354).
She began a professional basketball career signing a free agent contract with the WNBA[apos]s Detroit Shock in 2002, but flourished overseas. Carver played for eight professional teams in seven European countries and one Latvian professional team in Morocco.
While playing professionally, she was an instructor for the Pete Newell Tall Women[apos]s Basketball Camp working with women[apos]s basketball greats Ann Meyers and Ruthie Bolton.
The Dillon, Montana native has a bachelor[apos]s degree in communications from Idaho State and a master[apos]s from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
