San José State cross country season rolls on this weekend on Saturday September 28 at the 40th annual Stanford Invitational.
33 colleges from across the nation will be competing in the invitational including Bay Area schools: Academy of Art, Cal State East Bay, Notre Dame De Namur, Saint Mary's, San Francisco, Santa Clara and host Stanford. The Spartans' Mountain West foe, Fresno State, will also be competing.

The men's 8K run is scheduled for 9:50 a.m. with the women's 6K event shortly after at 10:30 a.m.
The Stanford Invitational is the third race of the year for San José State and is the midway point for the 2013 season. Jannik Ernst and Rebecca Garcia have led the men's and women's teams respectively in each of the first two races.
