SAN JOSÉ STATE ON THE ROAD THIS WEEKEND: The San José State University women's soccer team (2-12-0, 1-5-0 MW) is on the road this weekend, traveling to Air Force on Friday, October 18 at 6:00 p.m. (MDT), and Wyoming for a 1:00 p.m. (MDT) match on Sunday, October 20.

A Boise State goal within the match's opening five minutes was all it needed, as the Spartans lost to the Broncos, 3-0, in a Mountain West match on Friday, October 11.

On Sunday, October 13, Utah State scored two second half goals and bested San José State, 2-0, in a Mountain West match. The Spartans out-shot the Aggies in the match, 8-7, with Alexis Venegas taking a team-high three shots.

AIR FORCE FALCONS: Air Force (2-8-1, 1-2-0 MW) has received offensive output eight different players, with each of its six 2013 goals scored coming from different Falcons.

Ashley Greco's four assists for four points lead the team, while Kaleigh Moses's 15 shots are an Air Force-best.

In goal, Kelly Stambaugh has seen all 1,035 minutes of action for the Falcons, recording a 1.30 goals against average and .762 save percentage.

All-time, the Spartans have a 2-1-0 record over Air Force. The teams last played in 2009, when San José State shut out the Falcons, 4-0.

In his fifth season at the helm of the Air Force women's soccer program is Head Coach is Larry Friend.

WYOMING COWGIRLS: Wyoming (6-4-2, 2-1-0 MW) is coming off of a perfect 2-0 Mountain West weekend, dispatching New Mexico and San Diego State. The Cowgirls were led by MW Offensive Player of the Week Loren Mahoney, who scored twice in the 2-1 win over the Aztecs.

Lucie McDowell leads the team offensively, scoring seven goals and adding two assists 16 points. Sara Paul has 13 points, recording three goals and seven assists.

Goalkeeper Alex Boehm has played every minute in net for Wyoming, posting a 1.53 goals against average and .718 save percentage.

The Spartans have won every match played against the Cowboys, last beating Wyoming in 1997 by a 6-1 margin.

Pete Cuadrado is in his third season as Wyoming's Head Coach.

SAN JOSÉ STATE HEAD COACH: Head Coach Jeff Leightman is at the Spartans' helm for his sixth season, entering 2013 with a 40-47-11 record. The 2009 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Coach of the Year, he is the only coach to lead his team to back-to-back regular season conference titles. In each of his first four years, he led the Spartans to a WAC Tournament bid.

Ashley Boitz, a forward, has played in 13 matches for the Spartans this season, logging 276 minutes. She has taken four shots, two of which were between the pipes.

Rachel Docherty, a defender, has started six of 11 matches played for the Spartans this season, totaling 594 minutes.

Alex Donaldson, a defender, has played in 12 of the Spartans' matches this season with four starts for 569 minutes on the pitch.

Lupita Estrada, a foward, has started all of the Spartans' matches this season for 993 minutes played. She leads the team in goals (4), points (9), shots (23) and shots on goal (13). She was named to the University of San Diego All-Tournament Team after scoring both of the team's goals.

Sarah Fraser, a defender, has played in all of the Spartans' matches this season with four starts for 521 minutes played. She has scored one goal, and has taken three shots, two of which were on goal.

Alex Jimenez, a defender, has played in all of the Spartans' matches and has 11 starts this season. She has taken one shot in 996 minutes on the pitch.

Cheryl Kute, a midfielder, has started all of the Spartans' 2013 matches for 1,187 minutes played. She has scored one goal, a game-winning penalty kick, and has one assist. Kute has taken 12 shots, eight of which were on frame. She was a University of San Diego All-Tournament Team honoree.

McColl Matthews, a forward, has played in nine of the team's matches this season with four starts. She assisted on one goal, taking two shots, both of which were between the pipes.

Carley McBeath has started 12 of 13 matches for the Spartans this season as a midfielder or defender. In her 973 minutes played, she has one assist and has taken 13 shots, six of which were on goal.

Megan Molina, a midfielder, has started all of the Spartans' matches this season, spending a team-high 1,198 minutes on the pitch. She has taken 13 shots, six of which were between the pipes.

Megan Rauschnot, a midfielder, has started eight of the Spartans' matches this season, playing 687 minutes. She has taken one shot.

Stephanie Rebagliati, a defender, has played in 13 of the Spartans' matches this season, making eight starts. In her 815 minutes played, she has taken one shot, which was on goal.

Kareli Rodriguez, a forward, has started all of the Spartans' matches this season, logging 1,153 minutes. She has scored two goals and is the team's assist leader (2). She has taken 22 shots, putting seven on frame.

Zoe Makrigiannis has seven starts for the Spartans and an additional two appearances for 671:30 minutes in goal this season. She has a 1.88 goals against average with a .696 save percentage alongside a 1-6 record.

Sarah Peplinski has started seven of the Spartans' 12 matches this season, making appearances in nine matches. In 617:40 minutes played, she has a 1-6 record with a 2.48 goals against average and a .630 save percentage.
