San Jose, Calif. - The San José State men's soccer team travels to play the Kansas City Kangaroos and Houston Baptist Huskies in Western Athletic Conference play this week.

MEN'S SOCCER TICKETS
Tickets for all San José State men's soccer home games are free for all SJSU students, faculty and staff with a valid ID. Adult tickets are $5.00, $2.00 for youth (12 and under) and any child wearing a jersey gets in for free.

Groups of 20 or more can buy discounted tickets at $3.00 per person. The ticket office opens one hour prior to kick-off at Spartan Stadium or can be purchased by calling San José State Athletics Ticket Office at 408-924-SJTX (7589).

SCOUTING KANSAS CITY
The 'Roos enter the week with a 4-7-4 record, 3-3-1 in Western Athletic Conference action. They currently sit atop the conference's East Division with 10 points. Last weekend they dropped a pair of 0-2 decisions first at UNLV and then CSU Bakersfield.

This will be the first meeting between these two programs. The 'Roos were in the Summitt League before joining the WAC.

The UMKC's leading scorer is Jordan Rideout (6 G - 12 PTS). Tato Chiaparro has found the back of the net four times and leads the side with three assists (11 PTS).

Chris McGaughey has played the vast majority of minutes in the Kangaroos goal. In 13 matches and has a 4-7-2 record. His GAA is 1.55 and save % is .779.

Head Coach Rick Benben is in his 16th season leading the Kansas City program. He brought a 112-137-29 career record into this season.

SCOUTING HOUSTON BAPTIST
The Huskies enter the week with a 7-6-1 record, 2-4-1 in conference action and tied for second place in the WAC's East Division. They came up short in both games last week - 1-2 at CSU Bakersfield and 2-5 at UNLV. Houston Baprist hosts Seattle on Friday evening ahead of its match with the Spartans on Sunday.

The last meeting between the schools was in Spartan Stadium last year. The Spartans defeated HBU 2-0. Manny Espinosa earned the win and San José State got goals from Steven Sanchez and Jonathan Salceda in the first ever meeting between the sides.

The Huskies' leading scorer is Uzo Tobenna (9 G - 18 PTS). Kyle Herbison (4 G, 3 A - 11 PTS) and Kristopher Tyrpak and Patrick Toh have each scored two goals and assisted on four more.

Houston Baptist has used two keepers this year with George Kelley having a slight advantage in minutes, 715:48-to-605:00, over Kevin Suarez. Kelly has a 1.76 GAA, .562 save % and 5-3-0 record. Suarez is 2-3-1 with a 1.93 GAA and .698 save %.

Head Coach Steve Jones is in his eighth season leading the Houston Baptist program. He brought a 50-55-11 career record into this season.
