San José, Calif. --- The San José State University women's tennis team concludes its fall 2013 season as hosting the San José State Invitational Friday, November 8, through Sunday, November 10.
The Spartans host the University of San Francisco, Santa Clara University and the University of Nevada during the three-day tournament.
On Friday, San José State takes on Nevada in singles competition and Santa Clara in doubles. Freshmen Gaelle Rey, juniors Julianna Bacelar and Jessica Willett, and senior Sabastiani Leon Chao will all compete for the Spartans in singles play.
In doubles, Leon Chao and Rey will compete against Danielle Silva and Katie Le, Bacelar and Willett will go up against the duo of Chelby Cooke and Delphine Rouvillois, and Justine Deleval and Tipper Truong will face the doubles team of Elaine Chesoni from Santa Clara and Lindsay Warren of the University of San Francisco.
Singles match play begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Spartan Tennis Complex located on 12th and Humboldt streets by the Spartan Stadium. The doubles competition will follow at 12:00 p.m.
