Football Honors Continue For San Jose State

The afterglow of San Jose State University's 62-52 win over previously unbeaten and nationally-ranked Fresno State continues three days after the Spartans' biggest victory of the season.

Record-setting quarterback David Fales, named the Walter Camp Football Foundation Offensive Player of the Week, also received:

• The Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season

• College Football Performance Awards' (CFPA) National Performer and Quarterback Performer of the Week honors and

• Was named by the Manning Award as one of its eight Stars of the Week.

Placekicker Austin Lopez was named the Mountain West's Special teams Player of the Week and was a CFPA honorable mention Specialist Performer of the Week.

Wide receivers Kyle Nunn and Chandler Jones were CFPA honorable mention Wide Receiver Performers of the Week. Nunn had single-game career bests of 10 receptions for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Jones tied a school record he shares with many with three touchdown catches among his eight catches on the day for 146 yards.

San Jose State finished the regular season with a 6-6 win-loss record and a 5-3 mark in its first season in the Mountain West.
