Men's Golf Competes Twice Next Week; At The Duck Invitational and U.S. Intercollegiate

San Jose, Calif. - The San Jose State men's golf team will compete twice next week; at the Duck Invitational in Eugene, Ore., Monday and Tuesday, March 24 and 25 and then at the U.S. Invitational in Stanford, Calif., on Friday through Sunday, March 28-30.

Duck Invitational

The Duck Invitational, hosted by the University of Oregon, will be contested on the par-72, 7,165 yard Robert Trent Jones designed Eugene Country Club on Monday and Tuesday, March 24 and 25.

Monday will feature 36 holes in a shotgun start format beginning at 8:30 a.m. The Spartans, playing with Boise State, Wyoming and Utah, begin play on the 13th through 16th holes. Tuesday will be 18 holes of play with tee times determined by Monday's results and gets underway at 8:30 a.m.

The Spartans have played in the event for the last four years and finished in the top-10 in each of the last three. Last year, sophomore Cody Blick, tied for second place with a 54-hole total of 210.

U.S. Intercollegiate

San Jose State wraps up the week at the Stanford Golf Course for the U.S. Intercollegiate, hosted by Stanford. The 54-hole event takes place Friday through Sunday, March 28-30 on the 6,727 yard, par-70 track.

The three-day event will begin at 8:00 a.m. Friday with teams going off the No. 1 and No.10 tees.

San José State has had top-10 finishes two of the last three times they have competed in the U.S. Intercollegiate. This year's event features six top-25 programs among 18 teams competing. The field is led by the host No. 6 Stanford and also has No. 13 UAB, No. 16 UCLA, No. 18 Washington, No. 22 UNLV and No. 23 Southern California.
