San José State’s new assistant baseball coach, Tom Kunis, shares his thoughts on returning to his alma mater for a third time, how he has been molded by other coaches, developing young pitchers and the evolution of college baseball.
Kunis attributes his energetic coaching style to his time at De Anza College under current University of Kansas head coach Ritch Price.
“Tom Kunis is one of the finest pitching coaches in America,” said Price. “His resume speaks for itself.
“Coach Kunis has a proven track record in developing young pitchers and preparing them not only to be successful at the Divison I level, but in professional baseball as well. I congratulate Dave Nakama and San José State University on a great hire.”
