San José State record: 3-6, 2-3 Mountain West. The Spartans have a three-game losing streak after a 38-24 loss to Fresno State on November 8.
Hawai'i record: 2-8, 1-4 Mountain West. The Rainbow Warriors are in the midst of a four-game losing streak after a 49-22 loss at Colorado State on November 8.
San José State-Hawai'i series: The Spartans lead the series, 18-17-1 with one cancellation in 1941 due to the start of World War II. San Jose State won the last two meetings between these teams including a 37-27 victory last year at Aloha Stadium. The Spartans won three in a row twice in the series that began in 1936. The most recent San José State three-game win streak occurred during the 1996 through 1998 seasons. The last time Hawai'i defeated San José State was a 41-7 triumph in Honolulu on November 20, 2010. The Rainbow Warriors' last win in Spartan Stadium was a 17-10 overtime victory on November 21, 2009.

Former San José State and Hawai'i head coach Dick Tomey and Rich Miano are serving as analysts. The telecast begins at 1:30 p.m. (PT).
Promotional Giveaway:  A Dick Vermeil bobblehead doll will be given away to the first 5,000 fans in attendance at the Hawai'i game. Vermeil was a quarterback on the 1956 and 1957 San José State teams before embarking on a highly successful coaching career. He expects to attend the Hawai'i game as part of a weekend that includes induction into the city of San José Sports Hall of Fame on November 17.
San José State Sports Hall of Fame recognition:  At halftime of the San José State-Hawaii game, the Class of 2014 San José State Sports Hall of Fame will be introduced. Major League Soccer star and U.S. National Men's Soccer Team member C.J. Brown, Washington Nationals utility player Kevin Frandsen, coach and athletics administrator Carolyn Lewis, professional golfer Mark Wiebe and the 1987, 1989 and 1992 NCAA Championship women's golf teams will be honored.
Senior Day: Twenty seniors and graduate students will be introduced during pregame activities marking their final appearance in Spartan Stadium. Four in a row?: San José State seeks to close out its 2014 home schedule with a win over Hawai'i. The last three seasons, the Spartans concluded their home portion of the schedule with a victory. Last year, it was a 62-52 triumph over #16-ranked Fresno State. The last time San Jose State finished its home schedule for a season as early as November 15 was a November 6, 1999 game hosting Hawaii. The Rainbow Warriors left San Jose with a 62-41 Western Athletic Conference victory.
