After two top-10 finishes at her last two tournaments, San José State women's golfer Megan Osland has been named the Mountain West Women's Golfer of the Week.
Osland as co-medalist at the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational where she helped lead the Spartans to the team title. She carded a three-over-par 219 (76-73-70) over the three rounds and was instrumental in the team's comeback in the final round. Her final round of 70 had four birdies and 12 pars. For the tournament, Osland had seven birdies and 37 par holes.
The week prior, Osland finished ninth at the Peg Barnard Invitational (Feb. 14-15) on the Stanford Golf Course. She shot a one-over 143 including an even-par 71 in her final round that included 16 pars, 12 consecutive. The Spartans finished third at the tournament among the field of 12.
Osland leads the team and is fourth in the MW in stroke average at 73.38.
