April 16, 2015

San Jose, Calif.--Kaprece Nadonza, a Level 10 bars champion from Palmdale, Calif., has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to compete for the San José State University women's gymnastics team starting with the 2016 season, as announced by head coach Wayne Wright.

Nadonza is a Level 10 gymnast at Waller's GymJam Academy in Santa Clarita, Calif. She won the bars title for her Level 10 age group at the 2015 SoCal State Championships with a 9.600. She placed sixth in the all-around and eighth on the vault. This weekend, Nadonza competes at the Region 1 Level 10 Championships in Phoenix. She competed at the 2014 Junior Olympic National Championships in the Senior A Division and finished third on bars with a 9.525 and tied for 10th on vault at 9.350. Nadonza was fifth on bars at the 2014 regionals and second on vault and bars at the 2014 SoCal State Championships.

"I am excited to have Kaprece join the Spartan women's gymnastics program," said Wright. "Kaprece gives us depth on bars and is a very talented gymnast who can contribute to our team."

Nadonza joins Ellie Pascoe-Long and Josalyn Ray, both of whom signed in the fall, as members of the 2015 Spartan women's gymnastics signing class.
