COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- San José State women's tennis players Sybille Gauvain, Marie Klocker and Gaelle Rey were named All-Mountain West performers for the 2015 season, as announced by the conference Wednesday evening.

Gauvain and Klocker received all-conference singles honors, and the tandem of Klocker and Rey garnered all-conference doubles recognition.

"It is nice for them to get some recognition. They worked really hard and it is well deserved," said Spartans' head coach Sylvain Malroux. "Marie and Gaelle have played well together; they really complement each other on the court and have a lot of talent.

"Marie has been playing better and better during the semester, and Sybille has been stepping up big for us playing at the No. 1 position all year. What she's done has been incredible, especially with her being a freshman."

Klocker, a sophomore native of Mulhouse, France, repeated as both a singles and doubles honoree after accomplishing the feat as a freshman last season. This spring, Klocker amassed a 10-8 mark in dual match play, split between the No. 2 and No. 3 spots in the lineup, and recorded a 6-7 mark in doubles action with Rey.

Rey, another sophomore, earned All-Mountain West Doubles recognition for a second consecutive season. The native of Geneva, Switzerland, also took home singles and Co-Freshman of the Year honors a year ago.

The duo of Klocker and Rey became the first doubles tandem in San José State history to be named all-conference multiple times.

Gauvain went 9-7 at the top of the singles lineup in her debut season at San José State, including a win over then-No. 51 Alina Soltanici of Sacramento State. The freshman from Frejus, France, played every match atop the lineup for the Spartans, who went 9-0 as a team when Gauvain won her singles match.

Klocker, Rey, Gauvain and the rest of the Spartans play their first match of the 2015 Mountain West Women's Tennis Championship on Friday at 3:00 p.m. MT, when they take on No. 6 seed Utah State.
