Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. --- San José State's Cody Blick finished tied for 40th place at the NCAA Regional Championship in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.

Blick, a junior from Danville, Calif., shot a 3-over-par 75 in the final round of his third NCAA Regional in as many seasons going back to his freshman year.

For the tournament, Blick shot 77-72-75-224 (+8) on the 6,947-yard, par 72 course at The Farms Golf Club. He ends the season with a 70.7 stroke average over 35 rounds, the lowest of his Spartan career.

"Cody really had an amazing year," said Spartans' head coach John Kennaday. "He played so well for us all year long, and he is still getting better. This was a tough way to end, but it was one of the best seasons for a Spartan in recent history."

#14-Oklahoma, #3-Arizona State, #10-Georgia Tech, Georgia and Virginia are the teams moving on to the NCAA Championship from the San Diego Regional. East Tennessee State's Gudmundur Kristjansson will also move on as the low individual not a member of the advancing teams.
