Fourteen members of San José State's 2015 baseball team are in action this summer in leagues across California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado and New York.
The Spartans are represented in the Far West League, Golden State Collegiate League, New York Prospect League, Northwest Collegiate League, Rocky Mountain Baseball League, Southern California Collegiate League and West Coast Collegiate League.
Jonathan Hernandez and Dillan Smith are prepping for their senior seasons as members of the Palm Springs Power, while sophomores-to-be Shane Timmons and Chris Williams stayed local to play for the Alameda Merchants and Kyle Morrison and David Campbell headed to Colorado to suit up for the Boulder Collegians.
Up north, Brett Bautista, Jack Veasey and Justin Beck are teaming up for the Kitsap Bluejackets of the West Coast Collegiate League, where they will square off with Josh Nashed's Yakima Valley Pippens.
The Spartans will reconvene for fall meetings and workouts in preparation for the 2016 season when school starts in late August.
