New Orleans, La.----- For his hand in San Jose State University's first five touchdowns in the Spartans' 42-23 win at the University of Hawaii on November 21, junior Kenny Potter is one of eight Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) quarterbacks named a Manning Award "Star of the Week."
Potter scored on a pair of 9-yard runs and threw three touchdown passes as the Spartans (5-6, 4-3 Mountain West) scored on all five of their first-half possessions en route to a 35-0 halftime lead.
The junior from San Pedro, Calif., completed 23-of-32 passes without an interception for 312 yards and three touchdowns as San Jose State kept its post-season hopes alive.
The Manning Award was created to honor the football legacy of quarterbacks Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning and is sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

Ten finalists for the 2015 Manning Award will be announced on December 2. The winner will be named on January 11, 2016.
