Women's Track & Field Has Three Named All-Mountain West

Colorado Springs, Colo. --- Spartans Jade Childs, Cambree Harbaugh and Nicole Iloanya helped the San José State women's track and field team to a program-best point total at the Mountain West Indoor Championship last weekend, and now the trio has been selected All-Mountain West for their outstanding performances."We are proud of what these three ladies have accomplished," said San José State head coach Jeff Petersmeyer. "They have a very bright future ahead of them here at SJSU. We hope to add more to that all-conference list every year."Childs, one of the program's first pentathletes, recorded indoor personal-records in two of the five events on the way to a school-record 3,712 points in the championship pentathlon. The junior from Meridian, Idaho finished in third place and scored six points for San José State.On her final attempt in the long jump, Cambree Harbaugh recorded a school-record 5.90 meters, good for second place and eight points for San José State. It was the second time in as many meets which the sophomore from Meridian, Idaho set a new school record in the long jump.Sophomore Nicole Iloanya also scored eight points for the Spartans with a second place finish in the triple jump finals. She recorded a distance of 12.38 meters. It is the second All-Mountain West designation for Iloanya, who was selected All-Mountain West in the triple jump following the outdoor championships last spring. She will enter this outdoor season as the school-record holder for both indoor and outdoor triple jumps.
