San José State's women's tennis team wraps up its five-match road swing with a visit to No. 64 Long Beach State on Saturday, April 9. The matchup now has a 10:00 a.m. start time and is the first between the schools since the 49ers topped the Spartans, 5-2, in February 2014.

The 49ers enter the weekend with a 14-4 overall record and a perfect 7-0 mark in Big West action. They have won their last seven contests, including four shutouts over that span. Long Beach State has posted a 10-2 record at home thus far, with their only losses coming to Pepperdine and North Carolina State.

Junior Maeva Razakasoa is the 77th-ranked singles player in the country and comes in with a 14-3 mark atop the Long Beach State lineup. Hayley Thompson (14-3), Julie Gerard (14-4), Laura Eales (12-5) and Ebba Unden (11-5) join Razakosoa with double digit singles wins. On the doubles side, Eales and Thompson comprise the No. 36 doubles tandem in the country. They are 10-2 this spring, and have combined with Gerard and Razakasoa's 12-2 mark to make the 49ers tough to beat in doubles.

For San José State, Marie Klocker and Gaelle Rey earned a national doubles ranking for the third time in their career. They checked in at No. 86 in this week's ITA rankings despite not playing together in the Spartans' most recent match.
