Coral Springs, Fla.-San José State University women's golfer Fanny Johansson has been named a Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar for 2015-16 season.
Johansson is one of 828 women's collegiate golfers to receive this honor. To be eligible, student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and play in at least 12 rounds during the season. Johansson has a 3.87 grade point average with a business/marketing major.
During the 2015-16 season, Johansson, a native of Halmstad, Sweden, played in five tournaments and 13 rounds. Her best round came at the Bay Area Intercollegiate where she shot a 74 in the last round.

The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition.
