San Jose, Calif. - The San José State University men's golf team will compete in the Price's Give 'Em Five Invitational at the Butterfield Golf Club in El Paso, Texas, October 28 - 30.
The 54-hole tournament is on a par-72, 7,307-yard course.
There are 11 teams in the field: Air Force, Army West Point, Marquette, NM State, San José State, Seton Hall, Texas State, UTEP, UT-Rio Grande Valley, UTSA, and Western New Mexico
Last time out: The Spartans finished 13th at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational in Fairfax, Calif., with a four-over par 856. Matthew Murray tied for 31st, posted two scores under par and led the Spartans with a two under par 211. Scott Munger shot even-par on the tournament with a final score of 213 and tied for 40th. Tied for 61st was Sean Talmadge who shot the third most pars on the tournament and finished with a score of five-over 218. Kevin Velo and William Barnett both tied for 67th and shot a six-over par 219.
Previously at the Price's Give 'Em Five Invitational: The last time the Spartans competed in this tournament, they placed seventh with a final score of 23-under par 841. Their best finish was in the 2013-14 season when they finished in third place with a final score of 11-under 853.
