Culibrk, Kobayashi Win Doubles Match At Bronco Invitational

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - On the last day of the fall season for San José State's women tennis team, Sunday, November 6, freshman Tamara Culibrk and sophomore Miyo Kobayashi downed Santa Clara's Nabila Farah and Zeina El Tawil, 8-5.


The Spartans also sent three players out for singles matches but lost all three to Santa Clara players in straight sets a day after winning two out of three singles matches.


Daniella Silva (Santa Clara) took down senior Gaelle Rey, 6-4, 6-2, Madison Clark (Santa Clara) defeated Culibrk, 6-1, 6-0, and Kobayashi fell to Nabila Farah (Santa Clara) 6-4, 6-2.


The Bronco Invitational was San José State's last competition this fall. The Spartans kick off the new year in Boca Raton, Fla., where they will hold a training camp starting on January 19, 2017.
