The San José State University women's track and field program begins its third indoor season at the 2017 Friday Night Duels hosted by Northern Arizona University.
The women's long jump will kick off the meet and the season for the Spartans beginning at 3:00 p.m. (MT). High and triple jumps will follow and the Spartans are also competing in the shot put.
San José State sprinters will be busy at this meet competing in the 60, 200 and 400-meter dashes and the 60-hurdles.
The Spartans have a core group of returners active in the first meet, including juniors Kelsey Johnson-Upshaw (sprints/long jump), Caitlin Wilson (sprints), Nicole Iloanya (sprints/multis) and Cambree Harbaugh (long jump/triple jump).
Jade Childs begins her senior campaign for the Spartans competing in four events: 200-meter dash, 60-meter hurdles, high jump and shot put.
