San Jose, Calif.--- The San José State University men's golf team will be competing at the National Invitational Tournament on February 27-28. The Spartans will be traveling to Tucson, Arizona for a three round tournament competed over the course of two days.
Last time out: The Spartans last competed in Waikoloa, Hawaii at the Amer Ari Invitational where they shot a team score of eight-over par 872, and tied for 14th place. Kevin Velo tied for 33rd, and led the Spartans with a three-day score of 213.
Previously at the National Invitational Tournament: Last season, the San José State University men's golf team finished in 14th place at 20-over par with a total team score of 884.
Kevin Velo led all Spartans finishing tied for 16th with a two-under par 214. Last season, he was the only Spartan to finish the tournament under par.
Scott Munger finished tied for 37th at four-over par, and had a three-day score of 220.
Bradley Keyer made his Spartan debut last season at the National Invitational Tournament, and finished with a total score of 232 in 73rd place with a 16-over par.
Playing individually and not contributing to the team score was Matthew Murray who tied for 69th with a 15-over par 231.
