Game Notes
SAN JOSE, Calif. - Coming off a mid-week win over Santa Clara, the Spartans travel to San Diego for a Mountain West conference showdown against San Diego State for a weekend series. The Spartans trail the Aztecs by one game in the Mountain West standings with the Spartans holding a 5-4 conference record and 6-3 for the second-place Aztecs.
SJSU trails the all-time series 49-20. Last season, the two schools met for one series in San Jose where the Aztecs took two out of three games. The schools met again in the Mountain West championship where the Aztecs defeated the Spartans, 7-3, on a walk-off grand slam. Since joining the Mountain West for the 2014 baseball season, the Aztecs hold a 13-4 advantage over the Spartans.
