Spartans Host League Leading New Mexico In Weekend Series

Game Notes - New Mexico

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Coming off a mid-week win over Santa Clara, rallying back from seven runs down, the Spartans return to Mountain West conference action versus the New Mexico Lobos for a weekend series.

The Spartans just concluded their longest road stretch of the season, playing their ninth road game in the last 10 games, and their 13th in the last 17 games.

At home, the Spartans are 10-3 this season, including 7-1 at the Municipal Stadium. San José State will ride a six-game home winning streak to the series against Mountain West conference leading Lobos.

San José State trails the all-time series 19-5. Earlier this season, the Spartans went winless against the Lobos in Albuquerque. The Spartans won one out of six games last season, winning at home 9-8 with Josh Goldberg picking up the win. Since joining the Mountain West in the 2014 baseball season, the Spartans are 2-16 versus the Lobos.
