San Jose, Calif.----- San Jose State University's Jeremy Romero and Suliman Khorami scored the final two goals of the match as the Spartans tied Santa Clara University, 2-2, in an exhibition men's soccer match.
Khorami's match-tying goal came at the 80:37 mark of the second half.
The Broncos scored twice in a 3:15 span to take a 2-0 lead in the first half. Satoshi Chafin and Valdemar Andersen, with an unassisted goal, gave Santa Clara its lead.
Kris Donaldson played the first half in goal for San Jose State and was credited with six saves. David Heredia was the Spartans' goalkeeper in the second half. He blanked the Broncos and was credited with two saves.
San Jose State opens its 2017 regular season, Friday, August 25, hosting Stanford at the Spartan Soccer Complex. Game time is 5:00 p.m.
