Los Angeles, Calif.----- In one of the biggest in-season diving meets on the West Coast, San Jose State University senior Cari Reiswig opened the three-day Bruin Invitational meet with a ninth-place finish in the 1-meter event.
With 55 divers from the Mountain West, Pac-12, Big West and Big Sky conferences, Reiswig qualified for the 18-person final by finishing seventh in the morning preliminary round with a 269.80 for six dives. She bettered her mark with a 277.45 score in the final for a 547.25 total to finish ninth.

The ninth-place finish matched her placing in the 1-meter at the Northern Arizona Lumberjack Invitational in November, the Spartans' first big diving-only meet of the season.
