Woodland, Calif.-The San José State women's gymnastics is one of the team leaders in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation with seven gymnasts being honored as MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athletes.
Kaitlin Won received the honor for her third time in her Spartan career. Josalyn Ray, Stephanie Relova, Michelle Shalit and Kendal Watts earned their second honor of their careers. Chelsey Andrada and Taylor Chan received the honor for the first time.
To receive the distinction, gymnasts must have a 3.00 or better grade point average, be a sophomore academically, complete at least one full academic year at the institution prior to this season and compete in 50 percent or more of the institution's competitions.
