SAN JOSE, Calif. -Fresh off a scoreless draw with Kansas State, SJSU women's soccer gears up for a pair of home contests this week. The Spartans welcome Cal State Fullerton on Thursday, September 6, and UC Davis on Sunday, September 9.

LAST TIME OUT
SJSU hosted Big 12 opponent Kansas State for a Sunday showdown that resulted in a scoreless double-overtime draw. The Spartans attempted 20 shots in the contest and goalkeeper Paige Simoneau was light's out, tallying six saves to earn the shutout.
MEET THE OPPONENT - CAL STATE FULLERTON
Cal State Fullerton enters Thursday's match at 2-3-1 after picking up a 3-0 win over Fresno State in their last game. The Titans, led by 12th-year coach Demian Brown, have also picked up wins over San Diego State and Saint Mary's. CSF is averaging 12.2 shots per game and made nine goals in their six games played.
SERIES HISTORY - CAL STATE FULLERTON
This will be the fifth-overall meeting between the Spartans and Titans. SJSU won the initial match of the series on September 10, 1999, but has since dropped the last three meetings. The last game came on September 4, 2016, in a 1-0 Spartan loss at CSF.
MEET THE OPPONENT - UC DAVIS
UC Davis ventures to San Jose with a .500 record at 3-3. Since being overpowered by No. 1 Stanford in a 5-0 loss in the opener, the Aggies have played five-straight low-scoring affairs and held a three-game win streak over Cal Baptist, Sacramento State and New Mexico before falling to San Diego State 1-0 on Sunday. UC Davis is led by Twila Kaufman in her fifth-year at the helm.
SERIES HISTORY - UC DAVIS
The Spartans and Aggies have met 10 times in their history, but not since the 2014 season. UC Davis holds a 5-3-2 lead in the series and is currently on a three-game win streak dating back to September 4, 2011. SJSU last won on October 10, 2010 in a 2-1 victory at UC Davis.
SIMONEAU PICKS UP PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS
Spartans goalkeeper Paige Simoneau had a big performance against the Kansas State Wildcats, big enough to warrant Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week honors. The Corona, Calif. product tallied six saves and came up huge in a penalty kick as she crowded the box to force an errant kick. The senior is touting a .842 save percentage and has 16 saves on the season.
BECERRA ATTACKING THE NET
Jamilecxth Becerra is dominating the shot count on the Spartans with 16 attempts this season, five on-goal. The junior has picked up four points on two goals in those attempts.
