Los Angeles, Calif.----- Eri Tamada finished in 38th in the 1-meter competition as three San Jose State University divers wrapped up their first full weekend of action at the Bruin Diving Invitational hosted by UCLA.
Tamada posted a six-dive score of 205.65 in a competition that included 57 divers from the Pac-12, Mountain, West, Big West and Big Sky conferences. She was seventh among divers from Mountain West schools San Diego State and UNLV.
Teammates Natasha Sondeno was 43rd with a 196.35 and Megan Au, 49th at 190.45.
A score of 243.60 was needed to advance to the final.
The divers and the entire San Jose State women's swimming and diving team will be in action next at UC Davis, Friday, January 25, in a non-conference dual meet. First event at the Schall Aquatics Center is at 2:00 p.m.
