Santa Clara, Calif.—The San José State beach volleyball team set a school record for wins in a season Tuesday afternoon with a 4-1 win at Santa Clara.
The Spartans have won 11 duals this season, besting the win record of 10 set just last season. The four Spartan winning pairs swept their Bronco counterparts. Sarah Smevog and Julia Golbeck fell in straight sets, 21-10, 23-21.
San Jose State travels to Hawaii this weekend for the Queen's Cup. The Spartans play Washington, Hawaii and Loyola Marymount on Saturday and championship matches on Sunday.
