First Half Defense & Second Half Offense In Spring Game

San Jose, Calif.----- For San Jose State University football head coach Brent Brennan, he watched his defensive unit shutout his offense for the first half of the Spartans' Spring Game before the offense got on track for three touchdowns and two field goals in the 79-play scrimmage.

The defense came up with seven stops, two quarterback sacks, and one takeaway on a Nehemiah Shelton interception. The defense kept the offense out if the end zone on the first five possessions of the Spring Game. Linebacker Jesse Osuna and defensive lineman Cade Hall made their way into the backfield when Chance LaChapelle was at quarterback.
