Louisville, Ky.—San José State freshman pitcher Jenessa Ullegue has another honor to hang in her trophy case as she was named to the third team NFCA Division I All-Pacific Region team on Thursday.
Ullegue, the 2019 Mountain West Pitcher of the Year and first team All-MW honoree, finished her first season in a Spartan uniform with a 1.77 ERA and 16-5 record in 29 appearances in the circle. She started 18 games, completing 14 and pitching five shutouts. In 134.1 innings pitched, Ullegue struck out 104 batters and allowed only 34 earned runs.
She also helped herself at the plate with a .306 batting average in 42 games started. She had 38 hits, 22 runs scored, 24 RBI, six doubles, three home runs and a triple.
