Oon, Malate Named WGCA All-American Scholars

Coral Springs, Fla.— San José State women's golfers Natasha Andrea Oon and Antonia Malate have been named a Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar for the 2018-19 season.

They are two of 1,097 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar team are a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 3.50 or higher.
 
Oon, who continues to add to her freshman trophy case with this honor, is a business major. Malate is majoring in communication studies with a minor in Spanish.
 
The two helped the San José State women's golf team finish 19th at the NCAA Championship this past May.
 
About the Women's Golf Coaches Association
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 600 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
