BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – San José State swimming and diving scored 256 points to place fourth at the Roadrunner Invite on Saturday. The Spartans had 12 individuals with top-10 finishes led by a pair of bronze finishers.
Katie McIntee swam the 50 yard freestyle in 24.50 to place third. It was one of three top-five finishes for the senior. She placed fourth in the 100 freestyle (52.95) and fifth in the 200 freestyle (1:53.46).
Maddy Grimes had the other third-place finish in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:07.46.
Erin Wayman was the Spartans' top finisher in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:40.57, good for fifth place. Lea Marion (2:25.01 in the 200 breast) and Chloe Limargo (2:11.97 in the 200 IM) also had fifth place finishes.
