Malibu, Calif.—-#5 San Jose State takes 5th place in the Golden Coast Conference championships after a 14-10 win against #6 UC Irvine.

Marc Weber scored the first goal of the match for San Jose State two minutes into the first quarter. UC Irvine tied up the score for the first time and then again after Niels Hofmeijer's first goal for the Spartans. Nick Marchione scored the first goal of the second quarter followed by another tying goal by UC Irvine. Weber scores his second goal of the match taking back the lead but the score is tied again 30 seconds later by UC Irvine. The last goal of the first half was scored by Michael Burgess for San Jose State. The third quarter started with a goal for UC Irvine followed by Marchione's second goal of the match. UC Irvine scores two more goals taking the lead then Finn Pardon's first goal of the match ties the score. Pardon's second goal is the first goal of the fourth quarter sending the Spartans in the lead. UC Irvine ties the score again until Hofmeijer scores his second goal of the match. Irvine scores again sending the matching tiny its first overtime period. Justin Pickering is the first to score a goal in overtime followed by UC Irvine's final goal of the game.Pardon scores the tie breaking goal for the Spartans follow by Adam Bado's first goal of the game. In the second overtime period San Jose State scored two more goals ending the match with a final score of 14-10 San Jose State.
