Fullerton, Calif.----- San Jose State University's Savannah Sendar, Alba Pedrero Galindo and Tess Menten each won in doubles and in singles on the final day of the Fullerton Spring Invitational women's tennis tournament.
Senadar topped host Cal State Fullerton's Camila Garcia, 6-3, 6-1 and teamed with Rozalina Youseva for a 6-2 doubles triumph over Garcia and Eira Tobrand.
Pedrero Galindo defeated Cal State Fullerton's Jadie Acidera, 6-1, 6-4, after combining with teammate Laura Malsert for a 6-0 victory over Acidera and Taylor Valenzuela.
Menten was the Spartans' third double-winner on the day with a 6-2, 6-2 singles win over Valeznuela. Menten won both her doubles matches on the day teaming with Laura Malsert for a 6-1 triumph over Grand Canyon's Autumn Prudhomme and Ludovica Infantino and later with Tamara Culibrk for a 7-6 (7-4 tiebreaker) victory over Cal State Fullerton's Genevieve Zeidan and YuSeung Suh.
After a slow start in doubles on the first day of the five-team, three-day tournament at the Titan Tennis Courts, San Jose State finished with six doubles victories in 12 matches. The Spartans also captured 13 of 23 singles contests at the Fullerton Spring Invitational.
All seven San Jose State players won at least one singles match. Youseva led the Spartans with three singles victories. Six different doubles combinations each won a match.
San Jose State begins its dual match schedule, Friday, January 31, when it hosts Sacramento State at the Spartan Tennis Complex. First serve is at Noon (PT).
