Mazury Wins MSPF Freshman of the Week Honors Again

San Jose, Calif.—For the second time this season, San José State women's gymnast Jada Mazury has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Women's Gymnastics Freshman of the Week, respectively.

Mazury, from Calgary, Alberta, earned her second conference honor for her performances last Friday night in a meet at UC Davis. She won her first collegiate event title with a 9.800 bars, and won her second title of the evening as she tied for first on beam (with teammate Chelsey Andrada) with a 9.875, the second-highest score in school history. Mazury finished second on floor with a 9.850 and helped the Spartan beam team to a 49.175, the second-highest team beam score in school history
 
San José State returns home this Friday for a meet with MPSF foe Alaska Anchorage. The meet begins at 7 p.m., inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
