San Jose, Calif.—On the third consecutive day of duals, the San José State beach volleyball team fell to Grand Canyon, 5-0, at Spartan Beach.
The Spartans were swept in match to the preseason-ranked #14 Lopes on Sunday. The Spartan pair of Thaliana Grajeda and Tabea Schwarz gave the number-two Lopes pair a set, falling 28-26 in the second set.
San José State is now 4-1 on the season and hosts two more duals this week at Spartan Beach – Thursday the 27th against Sacramento State at 3 p.m., and Friday the 28th against San Francisco at noon.
