MILNE SETS BEAM RECORD
Freshman Emma Milne is etching her name in the San José State record book, just seven meets into her college career. At Seattle Pacific on February 21, Milne set the beam record with a 9.925 as she became the first Spartan to score better than a 9.900 on beam. Eight Spartans, including current teammates Taylor Chan and Chelsey Andrada, had recorded a 9.900 in a meet 11 times, but no one could reach past that score. Milne won the beam that night and has two beam titles on the year.
SPARTANS CRACK 195.000, T25TH BEST TEAM SCORE
On Valentine's Day, the Spartans received a candy heart with a 195.025 team score on it, the first time the team got a 195+ score this season. The 195.025 team score ties for the 25th best team score in school history.
BEAM TEAM WITH A BRAND NEW NUMBER
For the first time in school history, the Spartan beam team scored a 49.175 in a meet, accomplishing that feat at UC Davis on February 7. The school record is 49.275, reached twice in 2011 and 2018. Jada Mazury and Chelsey Andrada led the team as they each scored a 9.875, which also tied for the second-highest beam score at SJSU. The Spartans also tied for the third-best beam score as the team had a 49.100 in a meet at Seattle Pacific on February 21. Milne led the team with a school record 9.925.

WE LIKE THAT FLOOR ROUTINE
Taylor Chan continues to show why she is fun to watch on the floor. She recorded her first 9.950 on floor with her routine on Valentine's Day in a meet with Alaska Anchorage. She is the fourth Spartan in school history to receive a 9.950 on floor, following in the footsteps of Dani Albright, Shirla Choy and Thomasina Wallace. Chan also won the all-around with a 38.775.This season, Chan has recorded a 9.900 or better in four meets. In her four years at San José State, she has received a 9.900 or better on floor 18 times.

MAZURY HITS THE 9.900 MARK ON BARS
Jada Mazury entered a special bars list at San José State after she received a 9.900 on bars against Alaska Anchorage on Valentine's Day. She is just the sixth Spartan gymnast to record a 9.900 and the 18th time it has happen in school history.
SHE DID WHAT??!!
Although we have seen her perform exhibitions on the beam, Nikki Duggan finally got to show of her beam routine on Valentine's Day, and boy were we impressed. In the sixth spot in the lineup, Duggan performed to cheers of her teammates, landed and the judges rewarded her with a 9.800. Well, that scored turned out to be the best beam score of the night and gave Duggan her first collegiate event title.
