WE LIKE THAT 9.900
When the scoreboard flashed that 9.900 after her floor routine at Alaska Anchorage, all was right in the universe for Taylor Chan. She found her 9.900 that had been missing the first two meets of the year. She added another 9.900 this season in a home meet with UC Davis. Last season, she scored a 9.900 in seven of her 13 floor routines performed. In her four years at San José State, she has received a 9.900 or better on floor 16 times. Chan's career-best 9.925 came during her freshman season (2017).

AND YOU GET A 9.800, AND YOU GET A 9.800...
In the final rotation of the NorCal Classic, the final three Spartans each recorded a 9.800 on her vault. Cameron Kelperis started the scoring off with her 9.800, followed by Shyan Phillips and Taylor Chan. The three tied for fifth on vault, and the vault team scored the Spartans best apparatus score with a 48.800.

Two other Spartans scored a 9.800 at the meet. Emma Milne started the 9.800 scoring in her first collegiate routine on bars. Taylor Chan scored a 9.800 on beam in the next rotation.
